Germany is a country that holds a lot of history. Mind you, it's not that old in many ways since it was created in 1871. However, many creative people have come from the Bavarian area.
I was in Munich for a few hours in 1999. It was an odd feeling. I was traveling for many hours on the train, and we had a 30-minute stop. I walked around and saw people dressed in what were Halloween costumes in the middle of February, and it made me uncomfortable. Mind you, I was also in my late teens, traveling alone. However, the people I met from there were very nice.
I was there for only 3 days. I was not able to see every landmark or every cool thing, but it is a place and a country I definitely want to explore more of.
